Extreme Sports – Where is it going?

How has extreme sports changed over the past few years? There has been an explosion in the past 10 but where does it go from here? Honestly, I don’t know. There are tons of kids getting into Skateboarding, BMX , and Motorcycles every day. However, does the competition for these kids change the way these non-traditional sports are viewed? Will BMX or skateboarding ever make it to the level of basketball or baseball? I doubt it. For one, extreme sports are not team oriented and will never compete with traditional family watching sports. The only ones who are well known are the 4 or 5 we see everyday who have their own video games, clothing line, and tennis shoes. That’s a small percentage compared to entire entire team or a league. I’m just curious to see where this goes. Extreme sports has a tremendous impact on the youth of today. BMX stunt shows are now being hired by schools to teach children the importance of healthy habits and education. In addition, it is not uncommon for kids to have parties where extreme sports are performed. There is a bmx team in Southern California that performs bike shows for both schools and big corporate events. The name is “BMX Pro Stunt Show.”
